PCB Design Engineer

iLABS is looking for a PCB Design Engineer. This position requires working in a multi-disciplinary team of engineers developing schematics, producing layouts (including component symbols, footprints generation and library management), and delivering manufacturing data packages for a variety of products. This role requires interacting with external PCB manufacturers and assembly team in order to deliver high quality and high manufacturability level boards while meeting strict deadlines.
Profile:
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to work co-operatively with others, creating and
harnessing the team spirit to achieve agreed goals;
- The ability to work solo or collaboratively in teams to devise creative solutions for wireless sensor networks products;
- Ability as a team player, to listen and to discuss solutions with other members of the team;
- Evidence of a proactive attitude in recognising root problems and proposing possible solutions;
- Experience of working meeting project timelines;
- Attention to details, a high level of accuracy, self-motivation and the ability to plan and organise own tasks.
Preferred skill/experiences:
- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing process and PCB materials;
- Solid understanding of layout techniques for good Signal Integrity;
- Experience in Digital and Analog design, preferably incorporating wireless technologies;
- Knowledge and experience of BGA placement and routing, ideally with 10+ layer PCB designs with impedance control;
- Knowledge of IPC compliance;
- Understanding modular design techniques;
- Experience in working with design constraints for HiSpeed digital and analog routing;
- Experience in using Cadence Allegro/Orcad tools.

Internship For Telecommunication Engineer

iLABS is looking for a telecommunication engineer for yearly internship focusing on the development, in a proprietary scheduler environment, of a stack software that implements IEEE802.15.4e DSME MAC. The developed software stack should be easily integrated in a modular architecture (consider as an example RiotOS, FreeRTOS), which interfaces MAC functionalities to higher abstraction level. The selected candidate will work in close cooperation with wireless network experts and report to system architect.
